This crystal opal is scattered with pastel colours throughout which appear and disappear when turning the opal. Although they are not picked up very well from my camera there are lots of pink pastel colours in this opal. The opal measures in at 8 x 4.5mm, and originates from Coober Pedy, Australia.
This opal would make such a gorgeous ring, set vertically with double 9ct gold granulation details on a simple 1.5mm band. As always the choice of design is yours.

All opal photographs are shot using a macro lens under natural lighting. The colours are never edited. I will guarantee you will find the opals even more beautiful in person - even though they do look pretty epic in photos.
