This oval crystal opal has endless rainbow colours playing within it, and the photos simply do not do its vibrance any justice. In person the colours are much more electric than the pastels shown on the photos. It measures in at 8 x 6.5mm, and originates from Coober Pedy, Australia.
I think this would make for a wonderful ring stone, that way you can get lost in its colours all day long as they play around with the movements of your hand. I would personally choose to set this horizontally in 9ct gold, but of course, the choice is yours!

All opal photographs are shot using a macro lens under natural lighting. The colours are never edited. I will guarantee you will find the opals even more beautiful in person - even though they do look pretty epic in photos.
