This opal never shows the exact same colours every time I look at it! There is so much colour play with the whole range of the rainbow, it is simply fascinating. It measures in at 10.5 x 5mm, and originates from Winton, Queensland, Australia.
I think this would make for a wonderful ring stone, that way you can get lost in its colours all day long as they play around with the movements of your hand. I would personally choose to set this horizontally with a double 9ct gold granulation detail, but of course, the choice is yours!

All opal photographs are shot using a macro lens under natural lighting. The colours are never edited. I will guarantee you will find the opals even more beautiful in person - even though they do look pretty epic in photos.
