Yellow crystal opal which has a rolling blue green flash across the top of it. These kinds of opals are SO hard to photograph, but this one is a real beauty that will simply be so much better in person. It measures in at 9 x 6mm, and originates from Winton, Queensland, Australia.
This gorgeous pear shape would be incredibly well suited to a ring, and I think it would look stunning just set simple on a delicate 1.3mm band. When setting this I will pierce the back of the bezel so that it allows the skin to show as the backing of the opal as this is where its colours are most vibrant. If you would prefer the opal to show more blue colours though it can be set with a blackened bezel. So please leave this as a note for me if purchasing this opal.

All opal photographs are shot using a macro lens under natural lighting. The colours are never edited. I will guarantee you will find the opals even more beautiful in person - even though they do look pretty epic in photos.
